Research & Development Grant
The Grant for Research & Development is a national government scheme (replacing the former ‘Smart’ scheme). It aims to assist start-up businesses and existing small and medium enterprises to carry out research and development work on technologically innovative products and processes.
The scheme is administered by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for one of the four types of grants available.
